The Canadian Studies minor is designed to complement any Boise State University major.
The program is interdisciplinary in its approach and at the same time permits students to pursue their interest areas in Canadian Studies.
Students in business, health, education, the liberal arts, and the social sciences are encouraged to pursue the program.
Upon successful completion of the 18 credit hours, the student will receive a certificate of completion from the Canadian Government.
ABOUT THE CANADIAN STUDIES PROGRAM
The Canadian Studies Program serves to disseminate information regarding Canada and Canadian Studies to students, faculty, and the public.
The program strives to enhance awareness of Canada and of Canadian issues. The program seeks to highlight issues of bi-lateral trade, Canada-U.S. border issues, cultural policy, multiculturalism in Canada, Canadian values and society, environmental and energy issues, and security cooperation through courses in the Canadian Studies minor, workshops, seminars, internships, exchanges, and faculty research.
The program is committed to fostering a greater appreciation of the role of Canada in the world community and Idaho’s special relationship with western Canadian Provinces.
