What is Alpha Phi Sigma (“APS”)?

Alpha Phi Sigma is the only National Criminal Justice Honor Society for Criminal Justice majors. The society recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate, graduate, and juris doctorate students of criminal justice. Boise State’s Alpha Kappa Chapter is one of the most active chapters of the 300+ in the nation. Here’s a sample of what we do each year:

    Community Service

CASA Holiday Project.  Members solicit donations from the community and purchase holiday gifts for 50 disadvantaged children in the Treasure Valley.

Police and Fire Testing. Members administer both the written and physical exams for prospective police officers and administer the written exam for prospective firefighters.

    Academic Enrichment

Alpha Phi Sigma National Conference.  Qualifying members participate in the annual APS conference.  Members compete for scholarships and awards.
