Alumni Association Honors Eight Broncos for their Accomplishments, Service including Jeffrey Stoppenhagen

DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD:
Jeffrey Stoppenhagen ’92,’13

Jeffrey StoppenhagenJeffrey Stoppenhagen was a charter member of the Boise State Alumni Forensics chapter (speech and debate) and as a student and alumnus, he’s provided nearly three decades of service to Boise State.

He was assistant coach of the university’s national champion Talkin’ Broncos speech and debate team while he finished his second bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (he earned his first in political science in 1992). Now, he is a full-time high school coach, mentor and judge in forensics. He is currently serving as national president of the speech and debate national honor society Pi Kappa Delta.

As a student, Jeffrey served as a member of the Associated Students of Boise State University, as part of the student senate, he served on ASBSU activities board where he revived the annual Homecoming Parade after years of dormancy.

Jeffrey is also the volunteer co-director of the St. Luke’s Animal Assisted Therapy Program and the new president of the Idaho Speech Arts Teacher Association.
