About Us

Boise State University Publications in the School of Public Service specializes in colorful books of nonfiction popular scholarship about Idaho and the American West.

We believe we can light the lamp of knowledge—the traditional role of a university press—with a variety of formats suitable for a diverse, inquisitive, contemporary audience. Our focus is regional publications for the general reader. All publications are colorfully illustrated, accessibly written, and peer reviewed.
