Sage Grouse Conservation Efforts

Photo-Freemuth,JohnJohn Freemuth was quoted in an article by U.S. News and World Report pertaining to a report released by Western-State governors to conserve that habitat of Sage Grouse.  The bird once numbered in the millions but “current estimates put the population between 200,000 and 500,000” (Ridler). John Freemuth suggests that the efforts being made may be enough for Fish and Wildlife to decline the listing as an endangered species.
