Wildfires Effect Sage Grouse Population

Dr. John Freemuth comments on the Sage Grouse population in an article by Frankie Barnhill Sage_Grouse_USFWSFlickrfor Boise State Public Radio. Although the population of Sage Grouse has increased by 63 percent over the last two years, this did not take into account this year’s wildfire season where fires have been “Eating up chunks of key sage grouse habitat in states like Idaho and Oregon” (Barnhill).
