Scholarship & Fellowship Opportunities

Scholarships through Public Policy and Administration are awarded on a competitive basis each year to students admitted to the MPA program. To be eligible for an MPA scholarship, a student must be in good academic standing with the Graduate College and must register for three or more MPA credits during the semester a scholarship is received.

Scholarships are awarded, based upon varying criteria, from the three primary sources noted below

To be considered for the next award cycle, please complete the online Scholarship Application process and send a confirmation email message to Dr. Witt, MPA Director, to confirm when a complete application has been submitted.  Applications received by February 15 will be considered for awards beginning in the following Fall term.

The application deadline is February 15 and the Financial Aid Services office plans to notify all scholarship recipients in late April. Your notification will most likely come via your student email account. Be sure to check it often!

** Foundation Scholarship applications are also available. The Foundation Scholarship deadline is MARCH 15.

Ralston Family ScholarshipProvides support to SPS majors who are also parents of children. Call 208-426-3776 or email spsdean@boisestate.edu for additional information.

At Boise State University, GEM Scholarships waive non-resident tuition* for out-of-state and international graduate students with a GPA of at least 3.0 who are accepted into a graduate program. Qualified students who attended Boise State as an undergraduate ARE eligible for a graduate GEM Scholarship, even if they received GEM support as an undergraduate.
